About Me

Hello colleagues! My name is Dr. Natalie Coleman. I am a Bay Area native. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of California at Davis. I stayed on at UC Davis to receive both my Master of Science in Nutritional Biology and my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine!

My husband is a pilot - his Air Force career took us to both North Dakota and New Jersey, where I practiced small animal GP. I now live in the East Bay with my husband, three kids, a pitbull, and a food-loving cat (both animals are featured on this website!).

I love being a relief veterinarian - my favorite aspects are practicing with new doctors and staff, and giving confidence to practice owners that their patients are being compassionately cared for. I particularly enjoy practicing preventative medicine and working up more complex medicine cases.

What is a sundog? A sundog is a beautiful optical phenomenon that occurs in very cold climates when the sun is close to the horizon. Light reflects off ice crystals in the atmosphere to create two spectacular bright spots on either side of the sun and a halo around the sun. Sundogs were one of my favorite parts living in North Dakota!
